Americana Sportfishing has provided quality fishing charter service throughout Costa Rica for 30 years. Our fleet is mainly centered around the Central Pacific Coast at Los Sueños Marina, Jacó Beach and Quepos, but also includes Guanacaste (North Pacific), Golfito, Puerto Jiménez (South Pacific) and Tortuguero (Caribbean).
Our boats are US Coast Guard approved, with bilingual captains and mates handpicked for their fish-catching abilities and attention to customer service.
Typical catches include Sailfish, Marlin, Tuna and Dorado (also known as Mahi-Mahi), Roosterfish, Snapper, Tarpon and Snook. Full-day charters include bait, top-quality tackle, lunches, snacks, and beverages (beer, bottled water and soft drinks).
We offer exclusive sportfishing packages that include fishing charters with Costa Rica’s top captains, hotel accommodations, transfers, and other recreational activities such as zip-lining, whitewater river rafting, eco-tours, and volcano tours.
We will custom-design fishing trips for you at any location, including one of the world’s most exotic and beautiful fishing lodges: Rio Indio Lodge on the San Juan River in Nicaragua.
Costa Rica is acclaimed worldwide as an exceptional sportfishing and eco destination. With an average temperature of 78³ F it is the ideal vacation paradise.

REFUNDS AND CANCELLATIONS
We are bound by each provider’s policy, which differ. Americana Sportfishing will do its best to be fair to all. There is no refund for no-shows. If the captain is sick or the boat cannot go out due to mechanical difficulties, the captain/owner will find another boat of equal or better quality. If the captain cancels due to stormy weather and/or dangerous conditions, and the charter cannot be rescheduled, there is no charge for the day(s) and a full refund for the day(s) in question will be given.
If the captain suggests cancelling the charter due to inclement weather and the angler insists on going, no refund will be given even if the boat only spends a short time off the mooring. There are NO cancellations due to rain, since rain usually consists of scattered showers that come and go.
We advise buying travel insurance before your trip.
